Lemony Sweet Tea

Citrus Green Tea Recipe

  • 12 Cups Water

  • 4 Black Tea Bags

  • 3 Lemons

  • ¾ Cup White Sugar

  • In a large pot, bring the water to a rolling boil.

  • Once boiling, remove the pot from heat, and add in the black tea bags. Allow the black tea bags to steep in the hot water for 5 minutes.

  • Remove the tea bags from the hot water. Slice the lemons in half.

  • Stir the white sugar into the tea until fully dissolved.

  • Squeeze the juice of the lemon halves directly into the tea. Once each of the lemons has been juiced, add the lemon peels into the hot tea. Allow the lemon peels to steep in the tea until the tea cools to room temperature.

  • Once room temperature, strain the tea and transfer it into a pitcher. Refrigerate the pitcher until the tea is completely chilled.

  • Serve over ice and enjoy!
