The Basics: Vinaigrette

Yields 1 cup of vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 3 1/2 tablespoons honey

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • zest of 1/2 citrus (optional)

  • 1/2 cup liquid mix-ins (cranberry juice, orange juice, etc.) (optional)

  • 4 tablespoons fresh or dried herbs (optional)

  1. Combine vinegar and oil into a blender, and blend until whipped and emulsified.

  2. Add in honey, salt, pepper and mix-ins. Blend until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  3. Refrigerate vinaigrette in an air-tight container until ready to use. Enjoy!
